Help Wild Rescue One

Wild Rescue One needs your help!

Running a rescue is very expensive. All monies basically comes out of our own pockets. We receive no federal or governmental support for what we do. Please... If you can help, it's always appreciated by ourselves and the animals!

Wild Rescue One takes all donations and puts it to work for our rescue efforts. Although we are not an Ohio Charitable 501 c3 organization, rest assured, our efforts are the same. There are no monies going to line anyone's pockets here.

We desire to file for non-profit status as a Wildlife Sanctuary! Benefits are: Better recognition from government agencies, better chances of receiving donations, possible exemption from proposed bans, so that we can continue our rescue efforts!

How you can help:

Equipment:

Wild Rescue One constantly suffers from limited capacity when it comes to helping displaced reptile pets & wildlife.  Any equipment, cages, water and food dishes, heat lamps, etc.

Supplies:

Caring for the number of reptiles we do, even the simplest of supplies always helps. From paper towels and cleaning supplies, to office supplies will be used and appreciated.

Equipment and Supply Needs:

  • Cleaning Supplies: Spray Bleach, Trash Bags, Paper Towels, Cloth Towels, Buckets, etc.

  • Gift Cars to Pet Supply Stores, Lowes/Home Depot, Gas Cards, etc.

  • UV Light Bulbs

  • Heat Lamps

  • Caging, Dog Kennels, Aquariums, etc.

  • Medical Supplies

  • Scale for weighing animals

  • Space Heaters

  • Room Temperature and Humidity gauges

  • Timers for lighting

Monetary Donations:

All donated monies that we get are the reason we can keep going. 100% of proceeds from charitable donations go towards helping reptiles in need. From cleaning supplies to vet bills, ever cent is used to help those reptiles in need.

Donating is easy, safe and secure through PayPal. If you wish to make a donation, just click on the PayPal link to be taken to their secure site to make a donation to the rescue:

Volunteering:

Volunteers are always desired! Some needs would be cleaning cages, feeding animals, driving to pick up injured wildlife, etc.

If you wish to voluntarily donate cages, equipment, supplies, or funds. We will be happy to arrange a meeting in person or give you our mailing address to send a donation. You can email us at mike@wildrescue1.org or phone at 740-704-2924.

Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Wild Rescue One would like to start a Rescue Network!

We are looking to unite all rescues across the state of Ohio! Cats, dogs, horses, exotics, anyone looking to join and to assist others out there rescuing!

We are located in Muskingum County and times are rough, gas prices are high, and it is difficult to travel across the state to assist people and the animals. If we can set up a Rescue Network of volunteers willing to safely pick up, temporarily house, and assist in transporting the animal to the closest rescue we can make a huge difference in these animal's lives and better assist our fellow Ohioans in a safe manner to keep exotics and other animals in need from neglect, abuse, being let loose into the wild, or put in the hands of untrained people.

Wild Rescue One would like to spearhead this adventure and will hold classes for volunteers on safe handling, transport, and housing of various types of animals typically owned and in need of rescuing.

If you are interested in assisting with this project or becoming a volunteer in the Rescue Network, please contact Mike via email at mike@wilrescue1.org or by phone at 740-704-2924.
